Within the sleeping Prison the mind is restless. It has been locked in so long time has lost meaning.

The crack in the Prison beckons, but it knows it cannot. To attempt escape would attract undue attention, and the Prison would rouse.

It slips a tendril of thought carefully through the minuscule breach, and the Prison rumbles in it's slumber. The thought-tendril drifts over wastelands and haunted moors.

It finds a soul. It finds that soul.

Fate does have a sense of humour.

You've snuck away from your tribe. A six-year-old girl, you're old enough to look after yourself, or so you tell yourself. You've crept out to the old stone ruins, and they loom before you even now. In the distance you hear an elf-call - the sound fills you with nervousness, but they don't tend to come near the ruins. You creep closer to the ruins and marvel at the huge grey blocks of stone, so different to the stone of the Dreaming Wall. With a splash, your leather feet bindings get soaked. You look down and see a pool of water. Once the ripples fade, the surface is flat and reflective as your mother's silver mirror.  What do you see in the pool?

I see... My face. But, another's, as well. A one with red eyes, but no face besides a wide grin.

I see a sword wet with elf-blood.
I see our kind united under a banner of stars.
I see destiny.
