Record the word "Sat" and what it does on the other note we got, then use "Sat" on the saw (saying) to turn it into a saw (cutting action), and cut down the walls around. Try to turn the saw back after we're done.

You write down the word "Sat" into the other note, which you decide will be your makeshift "spellbook" for now. The saw(saying) turn into a useless piece of paper. The word glows with power and rearranges itself into a strange glyph. You can still read it, somehow. It seems that you have a limited spell stock, so it would serve to be economical with the spell.

The spell bounces off the saw(saying, broken) as it is already enchanted and unbound.

You saw(verb) the walls. It seems that you have to continuously apply the spell on a wall to get a scratch deep enough, and the process takes longer on stone. Luckily as a mage your patience is superb, the spell is unlimited, and you don't seem to be hungry right now.

After what seems like 2 hours, you managed to gouge a deep gash for each of the two walls. The first one was just stone, the second seem to be hollow. You don't see the point in continuing as you seem to have found a way out.
