Use both. also, if you use undead through mods, use for executuion pits.

Jabberers are better overall because they mature faster (1 yr instead of 10) are bigger (4.5 million instead of 3 million) and more aggressive. also they're worth more butchered.

on the other hand, jabberers only live 10 years while rutherers can live more than 20.
if i'm not mistaken, you also have to mod rutherers to be war trainable. could be wrong though, i do see to recall needing to have a separate tag from regular training.

of course, that only changes the value for some people... many don't care if they have to mod things.

Steel Armored husked war elephants with can learn.
nothing short of magma or a drawbridge can stop them.
as long as you build pens to keep them in your safeish.

Agree, plus that's about the LAST thing *I* want to see from this kind of game - author spending valuable development time on useless graphics.

Unofficial slogan of Bay 12 Games.

Is there a list of vanilla version War Trainable beasts?

That's what DF needs, The gutbuster brigade.  Screw that elf and his cat. Thibbledorf Pwent is the real hero.

Does anyone else ever have caravans donate War Humans? Those are somewhat useful.

Children you rescue shouldn't behave like rabid beasts.  I guess your regular companions shouldn't act like rabid beasts either.
I think that's a little more impossible than I'm likely to have time for.

Human caravan arrives at depot.
Depot is surrounded with cage traps.
Deploy cave-in.
Enjoy war humans.
