Nico walked out of the Council chamber. He spoke to his guards as he left, onto the main section of the Presidium.
"Alright, men. Though I haven't gotten the Position of Councilor, we still can help. Now with the lack of resources, we need the colonies' resources. Once the citadel connects to some of the colonies, we use our... connections to help move more materials to help repair the relays and the Citadel. But until then, we need to get to work on rallying the people. First stop, The Wards. Or whats left of them, at least."

GNN Report

The Asari News-Anchor puts on his most business-like face as he looks into the camera-drone.

Hello, this is Galactic News Network, i am Tara T'ione and supporting me is my hanar colleague Ozymandias.

This one greets the Galaxy.

To the News: The Citadel Council has met today for the first time since months and Asari Councilor Ara T'loak declared the Reaper War officially ended. They also held an Election on the new Human Councilor. As we know the Human Alliance Government almost completely perished at the Beginning of the Reaper War. The Two Candidates were Industrial Magnate and Alliance Minister Otto Faber and Colonial Politician Nico Valten.

The Council voted unanimous Otto Faber as the New Councilor of the Human Race. Ozymandias how will this vote affect Earth,Humanity and the Galaxy in general?

This one thinks it can be safely assumed that the election of the human will lead to an increase not only of earths Influence in the Alliance but especially of Europe. The human is a veteran of Politics in contrary to the other human and this one and the galactic community can expect that he will successfully consolidate the Human position in the Citadel Council

Thank you Ozymandias now to Gerran Grot with the Stock Exchange.

the picture changes to a Salarian.

Thank you very much Tara. Thanks to the Election of Otto Faber Hahne-Kedar Stocks have risen by 100 points to an alltime high since the end of the Reaper Wars. those of other Weapons Manufacturers especially those of Armax Arsenal have indeed fallen. Armax has to suffer a decline of 10 points which caused an all-around plummet of the Turian Dax....

Thank you Gerran. An now to the newest Movie Starts this week with our Elcor Critic Sasq...

Armax Arsenal Stocks Drop by 10 points (Kaeso Sicarus Stocks worth: 590 (5900))
Hahne-Kedar Stocks rise by 100 points (Otto Faber Stocks worth: 200 (2000))
Otto Faber gains Citadel Councilor (200) influence
Otto Faber gains Good PR (20) influence

"How can we claim to represent a united galaxy when the vast majority of our peers remain unrepresented amongst us? While I can see the merit in delaying the vote on the opening of new Councillorship positions until the relay crisis have been averted, it is only fair; no, necessary, that we extend ambassadorships to the quarians, krogans & raloi. It is simply preposterous to expect them to defer to an assembly they have no part in other than that of passive followers; if they are to be amongst the Citadel races, if we are to maintain lasting ties amidst our respective governments, then they too must be handed their share of the mantle of responsability, with the rights and costs that entails"

"In short, I propose that krogans, quarians & raloi be granted an ambassadorship summarily and directly dependent on their willingness to share the burdens of uplifting the Citadel and mass relays from their current state of extreme disrepair. They will not, of course, be expected to contribute more than is their fair share relative to their own industrial capacity"

" I agree with the Quarians, but the Raloi are only just entering the community and so I believe it would be wise to wait a short time to observe them first before we fully induct them, after all we know very little about them as a species.

As for the Krogans, they already have an ambassador if I am not mistaken though he elected himself to the position without so much as asking us first and until we discover what they intend to do now the genophage  has been cured it would not be wise to give them to much power, the last time they were granted power they began a galactic war and very nearly won it.
We are in no state to fight them if they should do so again, our forces are severely weakened and the Krogans can produce more soldiers in a year then we can in 10.

Once in the Wards, Nico began to try and rally the people into repairing the mass relays and the citadel.
"Tell me, Don't you all miss the days when all sorts of transport ships brought things from all over the world, so people here could have them? If we don't all work at getting the relays online, we may never see that time again! Come on, people! We need to work together on this!"

Citadel
Very well then, we all agree that the Quarians are granted embassies. I think we should reconvene tomorrow to vote on the Krogans and the Raloi.

The Quarians have gained an Embassy!
Priority Vote: Krogan and Raloi Embassies
Priority Vote: Krogan Councilorship
Major Council Decision: Restoration of the Citadel
Major Council Decision: Reconstruction of Mass Effect Gates

Zakera Wards
you wander down there only to be stopped by a locked airlock...you remember that the Zakera Wards are still not repaired...

((PMs with goals will be sent to the players...))
