you were mortal once. Always fearing for your miserable life, hoping one of the gods would grant your desire. now though there isn't a need for that anymore. you've become a god yourself and have great power at the tips of your metaphorical fingers. first things first though, you'll need a new godly name because your old mortal one wouldn't inspire others to worship and serve.



so ya another god game because i was bored and it popped into my head.

name the god/character.
what was your earthly desire you wanted the gods to grant? ex.. be a great general, renowned blacksmith, something mortals would want
how did you become a god? ex.. lover gave their life to save yours and their dying wish was for you to live forever and something thought it would be funny to make you a god. or sacrificed by cultists and the dead souls cursing them merged with yours and formed something greater.
what kind of mortal were you? as in traits. did you nurture plants, skulk in shadows stealing, burn ants to death with the sun and a piece of crystal to focus the light.


note: the traits and the method of your ascension to godhood are how your initial affinity towards the elements. these will make your casting of this type of godly acts easier but not isolate you to them. the initial choices just have it easier until you gain skill in other elements. beneficial to specialize but not required.

also feel free to use my examples but this is bay12. I am sure there are far "fun"er ways to ascend

How did you become a god: When Infirmor was young, he was always tormented and taken for granted. He was a push over, and constantly maltreated. When his family got killed because his family was threatened to be killed by bandits unless Infirmor paid them a ludicrous amount, he broke. He collapsed. Infirmor died. The coward, the weakling, gone. The useless, the immaterial, dispersed. Atrox was born from the ashes of  uselessness, of wasted flesh. Atrox is here. Atrox took the lives of the bandits, but not killed or murdered. He took their will away from them, took their dominion. Soon, Atrox took command of nations. Atrox wishes to take command of the other gods as well. Atrox will.
Mortal Traits: Weak, cowardly, push-over.

I am Briallen I used to tend to the kings forest. I was a friend to all the animals and the plant and... Oh, me it all went so very wrong. *sobbing* I-I'm sorry it's just that... I could never really get over that day. It was the day I lost my love and joy and was thrown off the deep end. So I found and killed all those that caused the fire. I  had always wanted people to look up to me, I geuss I got my wish... I am Briallen, and I am the god of madness and nature!

My name used to be Eld, former child beggar and one of the warriors for one of the largest mercenary organisations in the known world. I cared for nothing save my own pleasures and the advancement of my station then and it's the same now. For while I used to be just a man, I am no longer... My last employer was a mage and when he no longer required our services he consumed our souls for his magic. Guess he shouldn't have absorbed a sociopath, huh? *chuckles* He really screwed the pooch on that one. Not only did I take control, but I kept up his practices, only more so! Then I was powerful in not just strength of arm and social station, but magic as well! Finally, my depredations became known. The temples in the city sent a team of their finest crusaders and paladins to slay me. A soul infused with the light of the divine gives much more of a... boost than a normal one. Let's just say that those righteous gods in the city? They made their own worst enemy. Their power forged me into this, the god of murder, black sorcery and mortal combat! They tried to destroy me and after having some of their power, I. Want. More.
