Having finally completed my Morgan money bash I must say I am rather disappointed. So I started off as Morgan whilst I gave all the other factions the Morganite stats and agendas [so I was virtually fighting 6 Morganites but could actually tell the difference between friendly Morgans and hostile Morgans] and when I finally figured out how to not get steamrolled by fusion marines because I spent too much time building infrastructure I was disappointed in how there was very little in the way of economic warfare or diplomacy going on. Most of the factions refused to sign treaties for a long time because I was already 'too powerful,' refused to sign treaties with one another, and up until I had started conquering factions or signing treaties when their mood was at their happiest so little trade was going on that you could barely tell that commerce was a thing. This meant there was very little point in trying to build trade blocs or sabotage anyone else's economies as it all very quickly just turned into the equivalent of a 7 Zhakarov game as everyone just rushed for tech. Now, I might try a 7 Zhakarov game too just to see who can out research who, but I intended to have businesses ruthlessly bankrupting other businesses not scientists competing with scientists.
I suspect I would have to create a scenario where all the factions already have all the technologies before I can have the Morgan business brawl I intended to have. Maybe turn off all victories except cornering the global market.
