As it touches the blood, it dilutes quickly, until becoming exactly like the fluid, and evaporates.
Blood dilutes and evaporates, right, not the liquid?

I'm also still waiting on my mefolk+dragon experiment.

Please don't abandon this game.
It was, like, two hours since the last post and less than a day since the last update. Patience, padawan. And if anyone has the right to call people padawan, it's me.

eat the poisoned troll skin poison-free meat and wash it down with a few drops from the mystery vial.
my merfolk+dragon experiment.
Let's start with these.

Whoops, made that a little ambigous. Yeah, it's the blood that gets diluted.

You decide that, since it only seems to be poisinous, you'll eat it to be sure. After eating it, you feel pain surge through your body, and you crumple to the ground. Reaching for the table, you take hold of the nearest thing and drink it. As it turns out, it was the odd vial that diluted the blood. Terrible nausea flows through you, and smoke begins to flow out of your mouth. Soon, so is your eyes, then your ears, and then your very pores, all of it to disappear into nothingness. As you feel your life slipping from you, the smoke stops. It would seem that if you had drank any more of it, you would be dead.

After this harrowing episode, you decide to try something a little safer: Merfolk fin and Dragon liver. As you toss in the liver, it quickly catches fire and releases a merry heat. Trying a bit of the fin, a strange reaction happens: They spark and fizz, when suddenly there's a blinding flash. As you look back, you see that it's turned into a smooth, red stone: Kaonite. Your warmth mixture continues to release a comforting heat.

We have three stones, one red, one yellow and one black. We want to make a Philosopher's stone. Clearly, we must grind up a tiny bit of each and mix them together. By their powers combined, we will have sort sort of powerful alchemical rock.

Put some of that liquid that was really poisonous to us on the Obsidian stone. It might have a purifying(?) effect.

We must under no circumstances, actually fulfill that person's request. If we do, then they will have a rare, possibly unique, object. If they let us go, then we would be free to make copies, diluting the value of the first. Thus, we will either be locked up again or killed.
We must instead aspire to the ideal of Tony Stark. We are a weapons developer in a room of parts.

I think the mystery vial may be some weak variation on a universal solvent.  I wonder if it could eat the hinges or lock on our door...

We haven't been in the room an hour and you think we've discovered the secret to the Philosopher's Stone? How arrogant.

Combine the stones like Grek suggested, then check the result. If it's a Philosopher's Stone, destroy it and all records that such a thing was created, ideally doing the former by combining the Stone with...oh, let's say that crap we drank. Let's brew another batch before doing that.

So:
Mix dragon's blood with the stuff in the vial.
Mix the stones.
Check the stone.
Mix it with the vial stuff if it's Philosopherey.

You've decided to take some of the fiery Dragon's Liver and use a bit of the vial on it. As you expected, it liquefies, foams, boils, and disappears. Next, you try to combine the three stones in your possession. Placing the ground portions together and mixing them, you see a subtle change in it. Suddenly, it cracks with magic energy. As you look into it, you see not the Philosopher's Stone, but rather, the first step in its creation: The King's Stone. It does have several magical and alchemical uses, but it's shamed by the true fruit of the Magnum Opus. Realizing that you will not be allowed to walk free with the knowledge of its creation, you pour the liquid over it, and it turns to the same blue smoke. You've got to get out, and fast.

Combine terroot, dragon liver, and crows eye, then throw the concoction at the wall. Failing that find water and then put water on the terroot and hope that explodes.

Take as much of the stuff as possible and see if we can use the stuff in the vial to break out.
