Using corpses for reactions
« on: April 07, 2013, 02:29:00 pm »

How would I specify in a reaction for my dwarf to use a corpse
Quote
[REAGENT:A:1:CORPSE:NO_SUBTYPE:NONE:NONE]
this doesn't appear to work correctly because my dwarves are collecting other things that aren't corpses
do I just add the [USE_BODY_COMPONENT] token and ignore the reagent?

I need some way to put armor on babies so I can start training them early.

I think you should retain the reagent and also use the USE_BODY_COMPONENT token.  If you exclude the item token for the reagent, then the reaction could grab any available body component for the reaction, including severed limbs, butchering refuse parts (like nervous tissue or cartilage), and bones/horn/shell.  You might not want that sort of broad-scale reagent grabbing.

I personally never had any luck using (non-vermin) corpse for reactions.  Best of luck to you though.  You could also try the CORPSEPIECE item token.
