I always get a nostalgic feeling whenever I'm sick

Recently I've gotten sick. Not seriously ill, but significant enough to give me a slight temperature and runny nose. And somehow it gives me a nostalgic feel too. I'm not really sure how to describe it, but it might have something to do with the way I smell things. I also feel like I'm back in my childhood home whenever I go to sleep.
I wonder if anyone else ever gets this kind of feeling?

I do. It's not surprising. Being sick is an uncommon event, and re-experiencing will remind you of previous incidents, which may have been long ago.

The main thing i remember when I get sick is how much i hate the experience, and how much worse it is than i remember when I'm not sick.

Lucky. Every time I get sick, I remember in enhanced detail all the past times I've been sick similarly.

It doesn't help that every year or two I get horribly sick in the same exact way. At least it's not like the last semester of high school where it happened once a week at least. They never could figure out what it was.
