What would make an ultimate DF "matchup"?
« on: April 06, 2013, 10:39:52 am »

(I probably didn't describe that properly.)

Basically, what combination of famed generated content would make a feasible history?

Cacame Awemedinade defending Planepacked against Oggez Rashas in Boatmurded?

I seriously have troubling wrassling up something remotely legible sometimes...
This is one of these times.

Cacame Awemedenade  is never a fair choice in matchups. Oggez would last half an hour tops, and that's if Cacame is sleeping when the fight starts. I'd suggest giant sponge against giant sponge, an immovablle object meets immoveable object kind of thing.

it's impossible to kill them isn't it? And they just push you over and over. I think I fought one with a starting adventurer and died, so I never got to test whether or not it was truly invulnerable

Live long if you can, and prosper by any means necessary.  Any means, Urist.  So pull that lever, or by Armok, I'll lock you outside come next siege.
He who plays with dwarves must take care that he does not become a dwarf.  And when you stare into DwarfFort, Dwarffort stares back into you.

Well, you can only kill them via atom smashers and air-drowning, so there's that.
I would love to see Cacame fight a giant sponge, for fun - you know, he spattered a dragon's guts in two blows, but giant sponges =/= dragons (often times, giant sponges > dragons).

Yes, think of it! It'd be a grand battle between two of the most feared beasts known to dwarf, and neverending to boot!

Kakame would probably air drown the sponge, either on his own strenght, or by punching dragons into the water untill it all vaporises.
