Modding: how is it done?
« on: March 14, 2013, 04:48:02 am »

after seeing some of the greaater mods posted here i wanted to start modding but whenever i play around with the tags... things usually go horribly wrong and undwarfy.

is there a guide that simplifies (to a reasonable extent) modding?

Congrats, Psieye. This is the first time I've seen a derailed thread get put back on the rails.

Dwarf fortress wiki, search for "modding" and "token", and download mods and have a look at the raws. That will help.
