Here's hoping it's nothing like the other Assassin's Creed games and is instead an open-world pirate sim. A genre that does not nearly have enough games in it.

Alternatively, get back to the original concept of killing guys, and finding ways to kill guys.
Rather than all of the busybody work that Desmond has had to relive in recent releases.

I think it would be best to have some system where it went:
Kill guys on rooftops
Sail around in an open world pirate thing
Kill more guys on rooftops
Rinse and repeat

So it has the nice naval element to spice things up, but the focus is either on killing guys on rooftops or on finding more rooftops.

Please make this good. I really liked sailing in AC3 and thought 'man a full on pirate game like this would be great'. I know this probably won't be that but I can dream

I'm surprised it's Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag, not just Assassin's Creed: Black Flag (in the style of Brotherhood and Revelations). Anyway, if it has more complex and more varied naval battles, I'm sold.
