Which a correctly constructed sentence with a dependent clause and an independent clause?


This is a direct quote of a question from my school. ???

edit: Oh, there's a typo! I didn't notice. It is funny when that happens.

My favorite quote is a muslim account from a history textbook, in which a frankish (I think?) king in Italy interrupts his noble court by lifting a leg and farting so loudly that they fall silent, and then goes on to discuss whether they should allow military access to crusaders like that's a totally normal thing.

I'm seeing words, and they're on a page, and I'm pretty sure they're in English, but I don't understand what is going on.

This is one of those moments where I'm pretty sure something is flying way over my head and I should leave, but if I don't ask this is going to haunt me for the rest of my life.

Neither of those clauses are dependent.
You'll want something like
I hate it when I am set on fire.
I hate it is an independent clause
"when I am set on fire" does not form a gramatically correct sentence on its own due to the "when", and is dependent, as it still has a verb and subject.
