how do i do to trade items?

hello i am a new member of this forum and wanted to know one thing that for sure many people want to know, I really like the adventure mode but do not know how to do to exchange objects with the merchants and would like to know how to find arrows, weapons and armor.

1. Find a shop, usually denoted by a sign outside or go to a marketplace. Then, standing 1 tile away from a merchant, talk to them and ask to trade.
2. Trade.
3. Your items transactions should take place automatically, and that's done. (It used to be you had to pick up the item before leaving and paying for it didn't automatically put it in your inventory, but this got changed).

4. Ammunition, weapons and armour stores are rarer than Forgotten Beasts dancing in the middle of a town populated by cats.
Go to the center of any major city or to a Fortress; in the center will be a keep you can loot for goodies. If you're a Dwarf then you can simply butcher your way through goblins and (hopefully not die) find some loot.

I went to the armorsmith and they only had boots, can i find armor in another shop?

I must say i never bother with shops for armour and weapons - you get perfectly sufficient gear without the hassle of bartering at the keeps and fortresses.

For dwarfs and elves, trolling the sites of 'dark fortresses' for goblin ambushes seems to work well, as does raiding monster lairs near the indicated locations of dwarven mountainhomes - world history creates the occasional challenger for beasts, drawn from nearby civilisations, and slain challengers and their gear are stored in the monster's den.

In my advice shopping is useless in this version just go to a human fortress or a keep and loot it for the items you need its free an has good copper/bronze/iron stuff you need unless you are a dwarf but in my version dwarves make fortresses beside mountainhomes
