Use enemies as projectiles

You should be able to use live enemies as projectiles in siege engines.

Tie a captured goblins, and then shoot him with a catapult at his own squad.

Centration. Similar to Spacestation 13, but in 3D and first-person. Sounds damn awesome.

On a serious note, the addition of live and nonstandard ammo may actually add something, launching a jar of helmet snakes or a cage of war dogs may be an effective way to weaken attackers.

As long they survive the initial impact.

Maybe you could have parachutes?

Not successful ones, no. Maybe an implementation of Leonardo da Vinci's ideas, but I don't think so.

Planed and suggested.

Historically, jars of scorpions have been used as weapons launched by primitive artillery before. Things like that would probably still exist today were it not for the Geneva convention. So the suggestion does add merit.

On a yet more historically speaking perspective, wouldn't it make more sense for the sieging enemy to be the one flinging corpses at your Dwarves?

Can Catapults even support a goblin properly?

Edit: I mixed up Catapult and Balistae... Opps

Catapults MORE then can support a goblin.

This sounds utterly ridiculous, but I guess it would add some challenge to have siegers catapult diseased corpses and rotting garbage into your courtyard in hopes of getting your dwarves sick.

Remember, dwarfs think of TORTURE_FOR_FUN or TORTURE_AS_EXAMPLE as UNTHINKABLE.

The suggestion is good, though. I can imagine goblins launching captured children back at their home.

They did that in Lord of the Rings, using severed heads. Very effective.

They did it in RL, using diseased cows. It worked rather well.
