Necromancers and Husks/Thralls/Zombies
« on: January 31, 2013, 03:03:24 pm »

Will undead attack you when you are a husk or thrall or zombie? If not, does it automatically make you an enemy of all civilization? I kind of want to recruit a bunch of companions, husk them, then conquer a necromancer tower. Next comes the kill all elves part.

1: Undead and husk are best pals. You can even talk with mummies.

2:this makes you enemy of all life.

3:You lost your companions when you are husked, or when they are. Is imposible to have husk companions. Other undead
companions will not atack necomancers or zombies.

4: You canno't exterminate civs in this version, due to a bug.

Well, it looks like I'm going to have to become a necromancer very quickly once I find the right biome.

In the next version then you will not only be able to get to the elven settlements, I think you also will be able to kill everyone in a civ.

Wasn't that said about vampires and necros? Husk don't always get [not_living] tag and thus are considered a viable target for undead.

I've had a Husk companion. We both went into the same Evil Cloud, came out as the same kind of Husk, and remained together long enough for her to rack up over 600 kills with a Silver Longsword. Then again, it did end rather abruptly when she turned on me in the middle of a village massacre. One second she was my companion, the other she was shouting at me and chopping off my legs. Funny story really, because after some mutual abuse we were nothing but torso and head, laying on the village ground biting each other, guarded by half a dozen zombie Titans. Neither one could kill the other, so I saved and left it like that.

I found a human city named Sleevevirgins. It was easily the biggest city in the world, so clearly I wasn't the first person to come inside the city's walls.

I guess husks still keep their citizenship ties to towns. and kinda just transforms the person, unlike the undead which are new units that just look like the corpse you kill.

Actually, undead are still in some way the creatures they once were. Wolverine corpses will still get angry, kobold corpses are still trapavoid, etc.

The problem with that theory is that she was a bandit before I recruited her. I was new to that area and hadn't made myself an enemy of the local bandits, and recruited her because my previously Boogeyman-blocker had bit the grass. So she ought to have already been an enemy of the hamlet's civilization before Huskification.
