Save it. The instant you spend it, you'll find out about something else you want that's now exactly $50 out of reach.

Start saving for a graphics card- $50 dollars is a nice boost for that.

And stay away from Intel. Eugh.

I dont think you can even buy Intel gfx parts lol, tho they do make the best cpu's.

Oh yeah, never said they had bad cores. Most noncustom computers have them, and by-comparison they're crap, because they're built for Word and the like, not games. They don't really... play nice with 3D either.

Go to charity shops.  Buy a rucksack, sleeping bag, flask (fill it with hot soup), spoon, gloves, hat, fleece/jumper/hoodie and socks.  Go and give it all to a homeless person.  Spend the rest on beer.  You get to keep the beer.

This is the best suggestion in this thread. You didn't earn that $50, you received it as an anonymous gift. So I'd use it as an opportunity to help out someone who really needs it, rather than make up an excuse for buying some material possession that I don't really need.

Just my $50 opinion. ;)

Don't do anything with it. Save it. Otherwise it becomes a bad habit to spend anonymous money on junk as soon as you get it.

There is a concept you should read up on.

Ugh I buy the worst things when I am desperate for something to do.

I bought AI wars, which isn't a bad game... but it is a game that is meant to be played multiplayer without an ingame lobby.

*hits head on wall*

The key is when you have money and you want something to do... try HARD not to be desperate.

The monetary value of it isn't mindblowlingly high. However, it makes for a good story or an article of higher moral ground!

I'd suggest you put it on glass and hang it on your wall. If anyone asks why you have that 50$ hanging there, you just: "Well that happens to a funny little story my dear friend x.."

The added bonus of this is that whatever person-friend who did it will have a chance to see that you appreciated it later and took the message to heart, which is a lot more worth than 50 $.
