Do boulders left on the ground disappear on reclaim?

Do boulders left on the ground disappear on reclaim?

Im working on a massive entranceway for a superbase and was wondering if boulders disappear so i can just reclaim to help my frames

No they don't, but they will be scattered.
You could use dfhack to destroy them. Or designate them to be dumped into lava.
Dfhack will work if your frames are terrible now. You can use it while game is paused.

There are probably waaaay bigger things impacting your FPS than a hallway full of rocks.  Contams, clothes, or those two combined especially, seem to cause most of my FPS problems alone.  But my maps are 80 z-levels fewer than most people's, so maybe it's different.

In general for dealing with FPS impact:
creatures>=embark size> >items.
Items only have a very small effect on FPS and only tend to become a problem when you have a huge number of them (think 10's of thousands of items). Both embark size and number of creatures have a much larger effect on FPS then items do.
