Embarked on an evil savage plains. A group of giant skeletal badgers spawned about 10 tiles away from my wagon. Total time that the fort lasted was 3 seconds before every single dwarf was dead.

It would be brutally difficult and probably won't work. In other words, it's absolutely dwarven!

Another time I wanted to do a hermit embark so I killed six dwarves right away. The seventh went berserk. That was my fault, mostly. I still blame him a little for not sucking it up.

I once embarked in a superheated world. It went well untill I was about 1/4 through getting my supplies to safety, and my dwarves melted. The gore they seemed to explode in was pretty.

Evil biome in 0.31.18 or something like that.

Three skeleton rhinoceroses.

Lots of running, lots of killing.

-Raven corpse bites Urist on the left eyelid and the severed part sails off in an arc.
-Giant mosquito corpse bites the peasant in the head, tearing apart the muscle, shattering the skull and tearing apart the brain through the x<Cave spider silk cap>x x20
-Unicorn corpse stabs Urist in the liver tearing apart the muscle, shattering the bone, many nerves have been severed and a tendon has been torn. A major artery has been opened by the attack. Urist is surprised of the ferocity of Unicorn corpse's attack.
-Giant sponge fetid mucus thrall has become enraged.

So yes, though much less often nowdays with less badger conga lines, giant mosquitos and whatnot.

The weredwarf Urist McUrist has come! A bearded drunkard twisted into minute form. It is crazed for booze and socks. Its unwashed beard is tangled. It needs alcohol to get through the working day and has gone without a drink for far too long. Now you will know why you fear the mines.

Et tu, Urist
