So. It is now Lent, the season of the year when us Catholics are supposed to give up something they love for 40 days. The bad news for me is that I'm Catholic. The good news is there is a lesser known rule to lent that says that instead of giving something up you can do something new in the name of self improvement.

In the name of preserving my right to consume booze and junk food, my self improvement project is to upload a Youtube Video every day during Lent. (Exceptions possibly granted for Saint Patties Day, Family Birthdays, and School Emergencies).

Many of these vids will likely be Live Comentary/Lets Plays of the rougelike game Dungeon Crawl Stone Soup. By all means participate in those and give suggestions here if you wish, but I have a dedicated topic in the Crawl Taverns for that.

But the main reason I'm starting a thread here is to ask for help thinking of other things to do for videos. I'm not going to have the 30 minutes to an hour and a half I need to make crawl videos every day. What I want from you guys are suggestions for games I can make one shot 5-20 minute videos about. My computer is a 6 year old piece of garbage, and dosn't like recording and playing at the same time, so try to suggest things that are not processor intensive. I have a decent internet connection, so if somebody wants to challenge me and kick my ass in a game they are good at, that would be cool.

Also, if anybody would like to join me on my self destructive plan pursuit of an honorable Catholic Tradition, it would be awesome if I could have somebody to polish up my videos and make my channel look pretty. I know nothing of video editing, and all the options and settings on Youtube scare me

Today I sat down with my father, brother, and friend to play some flash games. I filmed four videos where we played and talked about the flash games Viva Caligula (NSFW), Freeway Fury 2, Burrito Bison Revenge, and Caesar's day off. For some reason the nice long videos I made of Viva Caligula and Burrito Bison Revenge wont open in windows media player. I think the files are screwed up or something.

I was less than satisfied with how the freeway fury video came out, so I don't think that one will see the light of day.

So this means that for all that work the only thing I have to show is a less than two minute video about a simple game made in 48 hours. Try to ingore the cropping problems and enjoy . http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sPW1lNDHiv0

Dammit. I made 45 minute videos today and yesterday, and they both came out unplayable on Windows Media Player. I'm going to put this project on pause until I sort this out.
