Okay so the moving water bit function is from the cavein system noticing there no solid floor(between the layer of water),and since water kinda acts as a open tile this causes the ice to fall and splash all the water in the area upwards, due to frozen ocean having instant freezing temp this causes the water to refreeze while in air.
the FPS death is from doing a large wide Cave in on ice and refreezing the entire wall.

What about the southern edge, where the weather is warm? I'm kinda curious now.

10.000.000 years later, human !scientists! discover the frozen dwarf.

In his hand they find a pigtail fiber sock, and in his stomach there is a large amount of frozen leopard puke.

Headlines mention prehistoric neanderdwarves and their habits.

You know what would kick elfven ass? If when you got to the absolute edge of the planet you either
a) suddenly appear on the southern edge of the map, or
b) The game says Generating new world, then, SHAMZAM! You get a whole new world, and can travel between them!

Flying adventurer + vampire for a good measure (so that you screw being hungry tired and whatnot).

This sounds like creepypasta.
