[SECRETION] alternatives?

Arena observations show that the default time between emissions for a creature equipped with the [SECRETION] tag numbers in the hundreds of steps. Granted, this is with a creature of adventure speed 1600, but still. The intention is that the creature in question secretes at a much more rapid rate... and a quick search of the Wiki revealed no such argument I can pass to allow secretions on a different schedule. Is the timing hardcoded? And if so, what sorts of magic alternatives could one come up with that implements the idea of [SECRETION] on a faster timetable?

LIQUID_SPATTER SELF_ONLY material emissions with no usage hints allow for time adjustment.
