Installing a decent browser and Adblock Plus will reduce computer load while browsing and make browsing faster and increase battery life due to removing 10+ flash ads average per page when only browsing for basic txt info.

My mates new laptop went from 90 mins battery to 3-4 hours battery after fresh install and Adblock plus.

Adblock Plus is the best thing ever.

Even pandora doesn't have ads after an install of adblock plus. It'll prevent viruses intruding through adverts too.
