Short story, really.  I started my journey in a massive tundra.  Hurray, endless water!  And reindeer were plenty, so i'd never starve to death.  Started out by travelling to a bandit camp, alone, and getting ambushed by some goblins.  Killed all 4, and let me tell you, my first kill was glorious.  Hit him in the leg, he fell, and the next turn, I hit him right in the head, and chopped it off.  Execution style.  Went to the camp, slaughetered them, got ambushed twice more by the same faction of goblins, won both times.  Went to town, reported it all, and killed a famous wolf in some lair, alone, obviously.  Almost got the shit beaten out of me by boogiemen, and now I had some pretty scars.  Recruited a Woodcutter so I wouldn't face any more boogeymen, and was en route to kill a vampire when night fell.  I went to bed around a campfire with my friend the Woodcutter... only to wake to an ambush.  They closed in too fast, I couldn't stand in time.  Boom, I was hit in the head, my spine shattered.  I picked up my steel axe, the only weapon I had ever used, and threw it.  I died that night with my Woodcutter companion, and took a goblin Axeman with me.  Thus ends Lev's tale.  I died an unfair death.

Recruited a Woodcutter so I wouldn't face any more boogeymen

You can make worlds without boogeymen if you dont enjoy them like me. Just put boogeymen as 0 in the advanced world settings.

To be fair this is how I die on most of my adventurers. Ambushed by fucken goblins in the night, getting killed before I can do something. Only way to escape it is to recruit many followers and have a very high situational awareness and recuperation to reduce the amount of sleep you need to get, or just dont camp in the wilds although thats no fun.
