Animalmen don't siege, but on an unrelated note, I kind of wish Animalmen formed civillizations, and would start off as being a bit tribal and barbaric, but they'd send their "diplomats" and you could eventually befriend them.  You could even carve out some sort of cave for your soon-to-be resident bearmen or something.  I think it'd be fun, and although they wouldn't be actual citizens, they'd do their share to protect your fort.

Wrong.
1. Kobolds also siege if they steal enough--I think the requirement is something like 3-5 items.
2. You can start at war with other civs.

I saw a reference to goblins not eating in the FotF post and asked a question which means that this debate on if goblins are supposed to end should be resolved the next time he answers the FotF questions! So if we can just wait a few months...yeah, not likely. In any case, shall we discuss non-food supplies that goblins could require? I'll start: Food for the trolls and mounts.

Actually, you're wrong on the first point. Kobolds can ambush, but don't siege. And on one fort they stole and artifact and a dozen other things from me and I still never got an ambush.

I don't think elves do anything more than ambush, either. I know that humans can siege, but because it's so rare to start at war with them (I've played on a dozen different worlds, but I've never seen this happen) it wouldn't affect most players to make their sieges more complicated.

Elven sieges work like ambushes.
Kobold ambushes can be remembered as sieges if you had a dozen dwarves, no defenses, and repair from a necromancer siege to deal with when they came and handily slaughtered your dwarves...

...Antmen are found in underground caverns. They can form crude civilizations...
I think some other races also do similar things. While they aren't as advanced as you were saying they are definitely tribal and barbaric.
