Giant Platypus

I found some where I embarked. I've never dealt with these creatures before. Giant versions of things tend to be dangerous. Are the platypi hostile? Will they cause mass destruction? Should I try and tame some of them? I need ANSWERS!

Wilderness animals are always protective when something gets close and sometimes even wander too close and steal stuff.

You should get at least 2 swordsmen to fight it though.

That would be amazing. At any rate, try to catch them. You could make a platypus in your moat or something (they won't drown, right?).

Nah, I've had giant platypi chillin' like villains in rivers for months on end.

OP, you should totally try and tame them. Then build a railcannon that fires a minecart loaded with several hundred caged giant platypi at all goblin invaders. It's the dwarfy thing to do.

I may try this. I managed to capture a few of them. I'll post the results later.
