Simple question

I've got a question. Awhile ago, my adventurer's foot was cut off. Expecting this, I had been carrying a crutch around for just such an occasion. Then I ran into a lair full of boots. Only boots. No corpses or night creatures or anything else. Boots. Everywhere. Anyway, to protect my remaining foot, should I use a <<steel low boot>> or iron high boot?

Difficult. The steel boot will block almost every attack, but doesn't cover your lower leg. I think I would choose the iron high boot, but it could go either way.

Bah. Worst of all, it was just a peasant with a copper boning knife that took my foot. Superdwarven toughness, how could you betray me? I guess I'll go with the iron high boot. Thanks!

Are you still in pain or in need of something like disinfectant?  You may have just inadvertently stumbled (hobbled?) into the local chemists/drugstore.
