Name: Nemo
Real Name: None given.
Appearance: A marine abomination with a claw and tentacle hand, and a pincer and barnacle leg. He has a beard of writhing tentacles.
Powers: Water manipulation (shooting jets of water out of his claw, healing in said water, etc), super strength, sonar, resistance to explosives and fire, agelessness.
Backstory: A strange creature emerged from the sea one day, unconscious,to the amazement of three fishermen. The creature seemed lost and confused upon awakening, the fishermen took him in.

They taught him many things, including English, and how to live normally. But they never knew what or who it was.

They called him Nemo, for Captain Nemo.

Eventually, the fishermen were attacked by a mob of locals, who wanted the creature dead.
Nemo, in his anger, caused a massive wave of water to appear from the ocean nearby and slaughtered the mob.
 
Scared and with the fishermen now fearing him, he ran.

Ever since, the night streets have been prowled by Nemo. At least, until now.

Name: Alan Meer

Powers: Electricity Manipulation. Being a cyborg. His body has a computer composed of multiple connected nodes spread throughout it, with the largest node being in his brain. Slightly enhanced strength and durability. 8 retractable tentacles capable of changing the shape of their tips to interface with nearly any sort of device, Their locations are one on each shoulder and one on the underside of each wrist, along with the remaining four on his back.

Gear: A visor that can connect to his systems and provides a heads up display. His internal computer has free wifi access.

Bio: The first thing he remembers is waking up in a secret facility that was being stormed by unknown assailants. In the confusion and chaos he escaped and laid low for a few years. He eventually went into heroics for a year and a half before becoming tired with having to conflict with law enforcement and the high maintenance his powers required. It is for this reason that he entered an experimental program meant to deal with some of the issues related to superheroes. The way it works is that he basically is sponsored by the company Maru-Tech. They pay for his equipment and act as hero insurance if properly investigated and proven collateral damage claims are brought against him, while on his side he wears their colors and logo on his outfit, along with making some public appearances and endorsements. He also has to keep his own behavior in check to avoid angering or losing his sponsor due to bad publicity. Since the program is government run he also has the authority to make arrests. Because of the implications of a company sponsor, the program is regulated and overseen to make sure that the companies do not interfere with the heroes priorities of protecting people.

I just realized that Alan and Nemo are somewhat opposites.

Alan is a cyborg who does public appearances and fights (mostly, presumably) by day and uses electricity manipulation.

Nemo is a natural abomination who must hide his face and fights by night, and uses water manipulation.
