Hello everyone, i started playing this game recently, and playing it A LOT lol. But ive finally hit a brick wall in my building projects, I want to build a cistern for my hospital to draw water from, I want it to be filled on one side from a murky pool, and then be joined to a second cistern with a pump going each way (ie one N->S pump, and one S->N pump. I want the pumps to be run on 2 levers that turn each pump on and off, and be powered by a shaft that goes straight up and connects with a windmill or 2. I built this cistern in a throw away embark, and i got the pump going from dirty cistern into clean cistern working, but i cant get the clean water to be pumped out. Heres a diagram of what i ( or close to)

M = Windmill (Square is channeled out and Windmill placed over M)

Now, i linked levers to the gears on z-2 and then when i tried it, the cistern would fill up nicely (And VERY quickly, i was surprised)
but when i try to empty the cistern, nothing happens

Any ideas?

Did you remember to channel out the space below both of the bottom gear assemblies? If you forgot to do one that would explain why only one of your pumps is working.
