I just got a new speakerset with a powerfull subwoofer and 2 regular speakers.
When i crank up the bass and volume, the sub starts to shake the table.
What can i use for absorbing those shockwaves?

What if i cant place it on the ground?
Say my short and only table is crammed up a wall, and part of the wall.
So no holes or anything for wires. (i live in a boarding school/dorm).

Look up "decoupling subwoofer" on google for some ideas.

A simple way is by putting the woofer on a fat piece of MDF that has foam stuck to the bottom. I've seen some DIY drum risers that were just basically old pallet with tennis balls attached to it also.

 I don't know how well any of the methods will work if used on a table.

Well, its not like the table is loose, so that it may be moved around. It is sort of estuck in the wall on 3 sides and via a drawer, so the ideas could work.

point is the sub has to be place on a surface thats dense enough to absorb most of the sound, if you can make it where the table is either heavy and dense enough it should survive.

Professional subs have four metal needles they rest on to minimize that effect.

I have my subwoofer disabled because I figured frequent vibrations are probably bad for my tower... is the conclusion I have come to valid?

Depends how close really.  I use a 900W surround sound hifi linked to pc and PS3 and through loud parties and gaming there has been no issues in last year with sub maybe 10 inch from pc and main speakers maybe 2.5ft away on each side.

the floor is great unless you live on top of some one , then the base vibrations can carys loudy.

Kedly: the subwoofer shouldnt dammage your tower, its legs are good and the sub was good rests.
