Quick age modding.
« on: October 22, 2012, 09:37:16 pm »

Here, GENERAL_BABY_NAME is at the creature level, and BABYNAME is at the caste level.  These names could be gender-specific but aren't right now.

   [BABY:1]
   [GENERAL_BABY_NAME:dwarven baby:dwarven babies]
   [BABYNAME:dwarven baby:dwarven babies]
   [CHILD:2]
   [GENERAL_CHILD_NAME:dwarven child:dwarven children]
   [CHILDNAME:dwarven child:dwarven children]
   [EQUIPS]
   [CAVE_ADAPT]
   [DIURNAL]

This will make the dwarven children grow up in two years from being born, yes?

Yes. Note that it will be on their next birthday even if they're above age, if you're modding a save.

Thank you for replying.

I have a new world.

Does this mean that dwarven children will never be older than [modded age here] or is the worlgen aging hardcoded?

Dwarven children will never be older than that age. Dwarves are children because they are of that age, they aren't of that age because they are children.
