Hell's Hollow Episode 1: Welcome to Hell's Hollow

Starring:
Caellath as Maximillian Logan, The Marshall.
Zako as Elizabeth Grey, The Widow
Dwarmin as Katherine Macentyre, The Entrepenuer
Criptfiend as Henry Cogburn, The Ex-Bandit

Zako

Your carriage comes to a stop near the outskirts of the town, out the carriage window you see a hotel, which seems to be completely apart from the rest of the town, a half mile away.  The driver hops down and opens the door for you, all part of the service he provides.  You step out and make your way inside as he gets your luggage.  Passing under the awning out front you read the name of the Inn. "The Last Stop"

Inside you see there is no welcome desk and it instead opens into a dining room, and a long bar in the back.  The saloon is mostly empty save for the two bartenders and a few patrons.  Behind the bar on one end is a collection of small keys, to which your driver directs you before handing off your luggage and leaving immediately.

You've arrived in Hell's Hollow!  Congrats?

Caellath

His trail lead in this direction, you're sure of it, or at least it did, before you lost it.  You've been riding all night, and the night before, and maybe a few more nights, still no sign of Cogburn.  You see smoke in the distance, you assume it's a camp and ride toward it, hoping to find your prey, but are somewhat dissappointed to see more smoke, and eventually brick and lumber buildings, a carriage rumbles pass you leaving in a hurry, no passangers.  You check your map, but can't make heads or tails of it, since it claims there's no towns within 25 miles of your assumed location.  Regardless you ride forth, and enter the town, catching a glimpse of a wooden sign reading "Welcome to Hell's Hollow".

You also arrive in Hell's Hollow!  What do you want a medal?

Criptfiend

You're lost.  You've been traveling for days through thick woods, and are almost out of food.  You're beinging to think that crazy old man with one eye and no teeth, yet amazing hair, had lied to you about the town of Hell's Hollow.  As you slowly ride through the thicket of the forest you spot a strange sight.  A small wooden sign, and all it reads is "Keep going" less then a hundred yards pass that you find another sign that reads "almost there".  You're a bit unnerved seeing as you're not on a path at all, that and the sun is beginning to set.  You feel that you're in for a long night.

You're not in Hell's Hollow!  You're lost in the woods, at night, on the outskirts of a town called Hell's Hollow!  Good for you!

Dwarmin

The storm was over as soon as it begun, which is probably why you didn't even know it happened, though you're sure something happened, since your ship is now beached, and your now walking along the beach towards the town you thought you saw in the distance earlier, when you were awoken by your shipmate and business partner.

You're on your way to Hell's Hallow!  I would of written more, but until later I'm stumped on what to do with you! YAAAAAY

Kathryn walked down the beach toward the town she thought she saw (she thought she saw?), whistling a barely passable version of 'Camptown Races'. If only to relieve some of the strange tension she was feeling. This place was...itchy. It was too quiet-at the same time, not quiet enough....What?

Strange thoughts. She kept whistling, though it sounded a bit desperate and forced now. Abella walked alongside-keeping a bit closer than usual. And Kat kept a hand on her gun. They were in certain dire straits, that was right on...

She wondered where that thrice damned storm had come from. It was like someone had whipped it up on purpose, just to smash her poor boat, Queen of Sheba, up on the shoals. Would take alot to get her running on the water again. So they were stuck shanks mare till then.

...supposing things could always be worse, though. They had some greenbacks. Neither of them were hurt much, just shook up. Hopefully they could get into town, get some warm coosh-do some business.

And move the Hell on.

Action: Whistle my way down the beach as we travel in the direction of the city, Keep Abella close by

Elizabeth took a slow, deep breath as she surveyed the room. It wasn't much, but she had the feeling that the town was the same for the most part. Still, she couldn't complain, she had a job to do and a friend to find and the longer she took doing nothing, the harder it would be to find Malcolm. Picking up her suitcase and holding her umbrella slung over her other arm, she approached the bartenders.

"Excuse me, I'd like a room? Is this where I pay for one?"

Ask the bartenders.

Maximillian narrows his eyes as he stares at the town in front of him. Days following the trail of the little rascal who had escaped but he had lost it some dozens of miles behind. He was already tired of riding for a few days with almost no rest and damn it all to hell if he wouldn't gladly accept spending his night in a hotel room for a change of pace.

Cogburn wouldn't go too far and most certainly would not escape unpunished while he chased him. The man was trying to escape on foot from a horseback marshall. It was just a matter of time until he picked up the track of the man once again...Kat had told him to spare him, and so he did; no shot was fired against Henry Cogburn, but he escaped, ignoring the fact he had been granted mercy.

Justice would not relent. But for the moment, he really needed some sleep.

Enter the town and check for a hotel.

"Hey steve." You speak into the air.
>Yes?
"Could you guys also make a hamburger out of this arm when they cut it off? I wanted to eat it just for the sake of tasting it."
>That is horrible and disgusting. It will no doubt set you apart and create fear in your team mates. So of course.

As Henry stumbled along though the woods he took a moment to lean up against a tree to catch his breath and meditate on the folly that has placed him here. Oh sure, robbery. Banditry. Violence. But most of all judging the quality of a man by his hair. Never again. Never again.

Henry groaned and stood back up straight. He better get going if he wanted any chance at all of getting to town before the sun set.

Follow the signs.
