It had been too long
« on: October 16, 2012, 02:57:27 pm »

...since I had a fortress crumble to it's end due to a goblin siege.

I hated it
It was awesome
It included jabberers
It even had cave crocodiles
I loved it

Them gobbos brought more mounts and jabberers than their own numbers.
I had almost forgotten the extreme joy of sitting back and watching 140 dwarves be cut to ribbons in just over a minute. I tried to release my vampire (not that that would have helped much) but not a single dwarf made it to the release lever. Jabberers are quite fearsome.
Damn. I should design fortresses with no traps and too few marksdwarves more often.

It's even better when your Dwarves have a chance. It's enough knowing that your 200 soldiers are pretty much going to die, but they're going to go down dragging the goblins to hell with them.

Alas my current fort has no goblin neighbors. I do enjoy the assortment of forgotten beasts though. That one eyed beaver was kinda fun, melted one of my mace dwarfs.
