Are you discussing things privately over the IRC? Making plans with others?
Please send a log of all conversations to either myself or Shootandrun.
Protect yourself from accusations of metagaming, and help the GMs remain in the loop on critical information, today.

(This friendly reminder brought to you by Why-The-Fuck-Are-Only-Two-People-Bothering Incorporated)

So, why did Shoot and Run roll the two other posts but ignore mine? Did I do something wrong?
There is nothing to roll as far as influencing another player goes.

Thatkid, Titus is part of the first legion. The troopers with him should be heavy infantry.

And if he hit the slave convoy two days away from the city, wouldn't all the slaves be in there, rather than one group being able to sneak off?

Titus is cohort commander for a 10/10 regiment in Legio I Hadria, under my command, and our fluff establishes quite well that most of the populace aren't elven sympathizers. There must, at the very least, be a loyalty check, and these men following Titus would be fully aware of which:
- A cohort is too large not to be noticed and they are all bearing equipment which brands their cohort.
- If they are discovered, and they should, they will be branded traitors and tried as criminals.
- Most of the populace shuns elves, themselves probably included; will they place their lives on the line to save elven slaves, something they are perfectly used to?
- Titus is acting without orders from his superiors, namely me, a clear case of insubordination, and as such, they are not inclined to obey his orders.

Is it possible that they'd follow him and free the slaves against all odds? Of course. Should it be a given or even a likely event? No.

Too late, GM rolled for it. Its up to you as our ruler to deal with consequences. Besides, shit like this makes for a fun game.

Ektor what you are doing is an action that doesnt needs to be rolled. You are introducing yourself to another player so, it depends on him not on the Gms what happens next...

1. The unarmed dudes? Not part of the cohort.
2. Good luck branding dead dudes as criminals. Whatever cohort he was leading? Now disbanded/dead/destroyed. Mad that it doesn't make sense given how much stronger they were? Maybe make that information readily available next time. This game should be byzantine IC, not OOC.
3. Tough shit, they did it.
4. See #3.
5. Put a link to the fucking google document where you're keeping this information somewhere where it can easily be found. And put information relating to cohorts in there, for the love of god.

Hey everybody.

This YaK... Didn't turn out too well. There are many problems: Roman setting is honestly terrible, too much emphasis on politics, bad starting setup, etc.

We all screwed up a little. I, as a GM, screwed up a little bit more. But hey. Hindsight 100%, as they say.

We're talking on the IRC about what needs to change. How we can make this better. That kind of stuff. Join us around if you want. YaK isn't dead, but YaK IV may have to start a Take 2.

Cheers,
Your merciful overlord
