This is a suggestion short story.
I'm starting this up as a proof to a concept I had a while back.  You are going to write a story.  All of you.  Together.  The first decision will be a general storyline.  You guys will give suggestions and +1 the suggestions you like.  The idea that gets the most votes gets selected.  The second stage will be more involved, but this is all that you need to know to start.  Anyone interested?

All you have to do is propose a general theme.

The earth is being overpopulated and a group of survivors is shipped on a colony ship to a new world that they are to colonize. While they are landing their ship crash lands and destroys most of the equipment they had brought with them, leaving them stranded in an inhospitable environment.

I purpose that the world has an event happen to it where almost all life has been destroyed but there are new beings in play, they new being neither eat nor sleep, they just continue to maintain power plants such as solar plant and wind farms. The story follows a group that met up one day.
