I have a place there I just use as a general learning camp, I send liberals there to learn EVERYTHING, 6 people for everything that can be taught. So I have a few questions about teaching. For one, what does the teaching skill do? Does it just help with the rate they teach, or does it change the amount of skill they CAN teach? Another question is does teaching raise the teachers skill as well as people being taught? Last question, does everyone get taught, or just people in the same safehouse?

Teaching can raise somebody's skill up to (tutor's teaching level-1) or up to (tutor's skill-2) if I remember the wiki correctly, and if that particular piece of information is up to date. Dunno about the speed of learning, but my guess is that it doesn't affect it.

It's actually the minumim of (tutor's teaching level+2) or up to (tutor's skill level -1).
So even if a random specialist has no teaching skill, she can get your liberals skill up to 2.

Presumably. But I'm assuming that there's some mechanic preventing you from having one of your guys go to school for a few months and then teach all the others every other skill.

To me that seems less than likely. I doubt much tweaking has been done to teaching, becuase its so rarely used. Watch Grim's LGWI, or Jefmajor's LP, and Fox's Tut vids, in not one video do they touch the button for teaching, and those are the most popular LCS videos on Youtube, and probably the second most used resource for information, behind Curses of course. I doubt Fox has even looked at the teaching since he picked up LCS since people rarely use it, and pretty much no one ever even mentions it on Curses or in videos.

At one point I had some cost-benefit evaluations of ways to improve various skills (or to use them, even if it didn't improve them, because at least they were income-generating over and above alternate professions), and it involved a point at which a teacher did better (and/or for cheaper) than finding a given college course or immersing oneself in a more practical training opportunity.

Unfortunately, 'twas a while ago when I did this, and I've no idea where my notes are whether they're even superseded by new game changes.  But if I get some time I may try to repeat some of the same research[1].  No promises, though.

How so?  That's pretty much how it works in the latest release version--though apparently one can keep rolling right until one breaks the threshold, so the trainee in the bolded scenario might end up with Rifle 4.02 or something like that.

(Same idea as how someone with 199 juice freeing genetic animals (+5 juice, up to 200) goes to 204, but at 200 and above, gains nothing.)

I've found Liberal cross-training to be far more cost-effective than Uni--pay one price per day, for as many Liberals as are present to train as many skills as the trainer can teach, is a far better value than paying $60, per day, per Liberal, per skill.
