GOG.com - Sale and Fallout Giveaway
« on: December 13, 2013, 03:36:12 pm »

GOG.com's Christmas sale has started and I don't see a thread anywhere yet!  GOG sells DRM-free classics, a bunch of newer stuff although I don't think any really recent AAA and also a lot of the better indie titles all DRM-free.  Everyone gets 12 free games when they make their account.

Basically everything is massively discounted, and every day you can get a semi-random deal that's not available to others.  I'm thinking of picking up at least Trine, Trine 2 and Gothic 2.

Bonus: Free Fallout!    "you'll be able to add Fallout, Fallout 2, and Fallout Tactics to your GOG.com collection, completely FREE of charge. That's $0.00 (or, if you prefer the currency of the nuclear wasteland, 0.00 bottle caps) for all the three classic games in the legendary post-apocalyptic RPG series, until Saturday, December 14, at 1:59PM GMT."

Ye know, being an usurper overseer gone mad with power isn't too bad. It's honestly not that different from being a normal overseer.

Ustxu Iceraped the Frigid Crystal of Slaughter was a glacier titan. It was the only one of its kind. A gigantic feathered carp composed of crystal glass. It has five mouths full of treacherous teeth, enormous clear wings, and ferocious blue eyes. Beware its icy breath! Ustxu was associated with oceans, glaciers, boats, and murder.

You can most of that for $5 at gamersgate.
Baldur's 1 and 2, Icewind Dale 1 and 2, Planescape, and Temple of Elemental Evil.

I'm not terribly impressed with the format this year.  Choice of two bundles and Monty's Door 1-2-3 is firmly planted in Meh Territory.

At least I got Fallout stuff for free.  *shrug*

I loved the mecanics but found it a bit too linear, didnt have the same open-world feeling if you get what i mean. There was once a mod trying to make it more open world with new vehicule i think. Cant seem to find the name... Wonder how its coming along since it has been a few years.

DF doesn't mold players into its image - DF merely selects those who were always ready for DF.

Minecraft UI is very simple. There's only so many ways you can implement "simple" without copying something. We also gonna complain that it uses WASD?
