Yep. I remember this. I was running a pirated version of AC2 on a PC that just met minimum specs.

Not saying that's what you did, but I remember during release it was awfully rocky. When I bought it a year later with a better PC, it was smooth as butter.

It's not the greatest (TM) game in the world, but it's atmospheric, action-filled and never shorts you on stuff to do. Even if that stuff is a wee bit repetitive.

But I could double Hidden Blade stab people in the eyes all day long.

A) It was the first game after the second had already been released
B) Exceeded the minimum specs, came close to or matched the recommended ones
C) Bought in a retail store

I just couldn't deal with the horrific lag, so I uninstalled.

X-Com and anything except Assassin's Creed. Srsly. Don't play that.

Why? More importantly, why did you listen to him when he provided nothing to say why you shouldn't buy it? If you listed it to begin with, it must be something you were interested in.

I've completed all of them with 100% synchronisation and had a lot of fun playing the multiplayer (I love Ubisoft's multiplayer <3), so I'm rather bored of the franchise at this point, which is really bad timing since they finally pushed through the last spin-off and got to the sequel. Right now I just want something fresh with a lot of content. I know what I'm interested in, and I was tentative to put it on the list in the first place. I'll get it once the price drops.

Assassin's Creed 3 and X-Com.

Don't listen to this bullshit about AC, it is easily the most enjoyable series on your list, but the PC Gaming Master Race won't stop being butthurt about Ubisoft's DRM that they aren't even using anymore.

I'll go through this one in reverse, just for the sake of it.

1. I'm not getting it for PC, so there goes half of your sentence, out the window.

2. "The most enjoyable on your list." I don't even want to go into how little effort was put into that. No details, no argument, no effort=no consideration.

3. All thats left is "Don't listen to this bullshit about AC". Trust me, I won't.

That's great, but I'm explaining why it was dismissed by other posters in this thread, not why you should buy it exactly.

I'm playing AssBro right now and yeah, I've definitely got series fatigue. To the point it's going to be a looooonnnggg time before I play Revelation or 3. It's a good series, but I get your drift.

I'm also a bit cautious about the new setting. The Revolution? Thats a boatload of potential, both for fail and for win. Otherwise, I'm stoked to slaughter some Red Coats (apologies in advance Modern Brits ).

It could be the turn of the century for all I care, just no more Renaissance! I love the Renaissance and Italy, but I'm ready for something, ANYTHING, for a new setting for the series, to see if it really translates.
