Were-lizard defence system
« on: November 16, 2012, 08:57:18 pm »

In my game I had a were-lizard invade, it bit one person then left. Now He turns into a were-lizard in the full moon and I attacked him with my military and I suspect that they may be infected too now. However I thought of an idea:
I may be able to keep those dwarves infected with were-lizardism in a contained area and when a siege comes I could open a bridge freeing the were-lizards which will then savagely rip apart invaders. What do you guys think about this idea?

Persuading goblins to invade on the full moon can be tricky.

Make them legendary wrestlers and legendary axedwarves. In either case, your Dwarves will annihilate many goblins regardless of the lunar cycle.

You can't rely on the werebeasts to protect you. The transformation is too short and can't be controlled. Instead, you need to rely on the secondary effects of the transformation. Namely the full heal function. Send you werebeasts against the threats that are likely to cause injuries, such as whip squads or forgotten beasts. As long as they survive the attack, they will transform at the next full moon and all their injuries will disappear.

I thought the point was that the werebeast transformation fixes all of the damages up and made them practically immortal, and unkillable short of blood loss and brain or lungs being ruined?
