Limiting mason's materials?
« on: September 23, 2012, 09:24:23 am »

In my last fort I tried to build an above-ground castle out of claystone, and it worked pretty well, but my masons would sometimes make blocks out of other stones too. I had a stockpile that only accepted claystone next to the mason's workshops but they would still use some other stones sometimes. I ended up having a lot of marble blocks that I didn't want to use for building.

So, is there a way to allow masons to use a specific stone type only?

If you're playing 34.11 then you can press "q", cursor over your claystone stockpile, press "g" to give, then press enter on the workshop. You can do this multiple times so the pile is linked to many workshops.

Thanks! Now to make some uni-colored walls.
