Engraving a furnished room vs unfurnished room
« on: September 20, 2012, 10:46:50 am »

So I have a simple question, when you engrave a room does the engraver, engrave the tiles where furniture is?

Also if you have a fully furnished room and place furniture on a engraved tile, does it remove the engraving?

I ask because I need to make expensive rooms for nobles.

the engraver wont engrave where there is furniture.
the furniture wont destroy engravings

I know that smoothing can be done on a furniture tile (as long as it is passable so no statues) i can't remember if it works for engravings, haven't engraved anything in a while.

I just did it a few minutes ago in 34.11. Engraved under my furniture fine, except for the statue.

Aye, you can engrave under at least beds, chests, tables, cabinets, chairs/thrones, armor racks and weapon racks...and possible built ballistae (but it's been a while since I did that and I don't remember exactly if it worked.)

Unless it blocks movement, you can engrave it.
