Can Vampires have Children?

If I convert my entire fortress into Vampires, can they still have Children?

Not that, ya know, I'd ever do such a thing....

I think I heard somewhere that if a pregnant women becomes a vampire, that she can have a vampire child. Other than that, no they shouldn't be able to.

Does she have vamp baby?  Maybe its just Blade who pops out.
