Mood a lost cause?
« on: September 09, 2012, 10:24:59 pm »

I had a dwarf mood it up, and he wants trees, bones, gems, and cloth... thread.

First he was stuck on bones, and it turned out it was because the military alert was on.  He went and got 14 horse bones when I added the butcher shop to the military burrow.

He then went and got a single gem.

Now he wants the blocks and the cloth\thread, but he's just sitting there.

I have every kind of cloth (AND THREAD) in the book.  None of it appears to be forbidden.  There are no burrows involved, except that military alert burrow.  He's not currently in it.

Blocks are aplenty, and I my blacksmith whip out some iron and zinc blocks just in case.  Nothing.

Any suggestions before I lock him in?

Try rock blocks. Cloth/thread is probably the problem and I have no idea why sometimes dwarfs don't take your stuff but rush to grab something just purchased from a caravan.

edit: also make sure all of one type of thread/cloth isn't in a hospital.

he may just want the metal bars themselves, though I thought that'd been fixed. And as the guy above said it may be rock blocks he wants, as he won't collect the thread until he has his blocks.

You know, I bet it was the hospital.

My bookeeper tells me i had one piece of silk, but i won't be surprised if it was there.

Oh well,

He died.
