Hey guys, does any of you remember me and Angel of Death's failed project "Ameripain"?
It failed due to many reasons, for example we changed to BYOND, a shitty platform and made alot of code, then our only good programmer(im shit, but still does it) disappeared forever.
It was originally inteded as an awesome MOO. It was before Hellcore became open-source. Now it is, so Angel of Death and I have new hope. We want to make this shit.
But we need people! Im not too good with linux(Hellcore requires linux, atleast it dosent run on WinMOO) and i cant figure out how i should set it up. I have an idea, but i have some problems. for example Arch Linux does not support danish keyboard, so i cant type on that system(seriously Americans, why do you put your keys like that?) and then theres obscure GCC compiler errors and some shit called bison(I tried compiling it on my Tinycore Cataclysm Box) making it hard for me to compile it. Since my knowlegde is limited to basic MOO running and some compiler troubleshooting and small scale modding(Ran a Lambdacore for me and a friend, once) i would like some people to help us out.
What Ameripain/Hell (what me and Angel of Death wishes it to) will contain:
First of all, we want the game to contain obscene things, you should be able to do really horrible things but it wont always be neccesary, think Postal 2, we want it to have the original Goonstation 13 spirit, albeit without circlejerking and insanemins. Basically, if you read a death metal lyric, you should be able to do the same inside the game. Another is that the game would be used as a vent for rage and stress, sometimes being a virtual psychopath helps. Fourth: HIDE YOUR KIDS, HIDE YOUR WIFE, THIS GAME WILL COME AND WRECK YOUR SHIT AND RAPE YOUR SANITY.
Classic HellMOO style content
Construct-and-Destructible buildings(Basically the world is a bit more shapeable)
Randomly generated mutant creatures
Crazy endgame stuff that will turn endgame to nextgame(Our universe, and my stories based on it, includes discovering Lovecraftian devices, exploring hell, other planets and dimensions, and even times)
A clear line between monsters and creatures(Monsters will be actual threats to players, they will be so powerful and dangerous that one man cannot take down a horde of zombies by himself, maybe wound a single one enough to escape)
A really open ended crafting system(Piecing things together, individual components defining the resulting craft's function, given an appropiate name after the devices function, so a thing that propels projectiles by gun-powder upon getting triggered would be called a gun)
A much more expanded combat system(Improvised combat)
Random events that can change the game completely(Also player-triggered things, like detonating a nuclear bomb)
NPC AI fit for a changing world(NPC's building and rebuilding their places)
A subhuman NPC(And player, if one somehow becomes one) race, for all the fun, griefing, *thing alot of hellmoo players do but i will not mention here because bananas*
What you should expect:
Three friendly dudes that likes the gross and taboo, two with slight experience in MOO running, same two dudes really like death metal. (Hail Seitan!)

A no-rules-besides-no-hacking server in the vein of the minecraft anarchy server 2b2t, with elements that would make a D2K5er blush and features that would make George Melons look like this:

Crazy, but thought out ideas.
What we dont like:
Animal abuse(Dog as a specific, i've played too much SS13 to care about the monkeys, or cats for that sake, but damn people get robusted by me if they ever do Ian anything)
Political, religious or otherwise extremism(you can be that ingame if you wish)
Sick fuckery outside of Amerihell.
