I don't believe so, though most of the settings actually take very little editing to actually change, either being in the init.txt/d_init.txt files or simply requiring a mass find/replace on the mineral files to perform. The only real drawback is the utility access, since you would need to check for Linux versions of each of the various utilities and see if they have linux versions available to install.
