Pretty much everything I would suggest has already been suggested but here goes:
-Always play on savage biomes for more interesting wild life. (A nice terrifying/joyous border makes a good embark)
-Husk/thrall clouds and resurrecting biomes. .nuff said
-Don't seal the fort and wait for the sieges to end. Find a way to kill every invider you get.
-Keep the caravans alive. (Atleast until you can butcher them yourself. It would be a shame to let gobbos kill all those perfectly good elven training dummies.)
-Increase your dorf population above 120.
-Conquer the caverns.
-Trap and tame animals (Especially the savage biome ones.)
-Don't dig safely. Release and kill the fun.
-Don't use boring trap passages. Instead try to invent more creative ways to dispose the unwanted visitors. The more complicated they are the more dwarven they are even if they are not as effective as a hallway of cage traps.
-Do not look for a perfect embark site. Choose a site that lacks something. (No trees, no coal or perhaps even no iron. Makes things more interesting)
-Try embarking in a savage biome without any items or skills. You can get a pick and anvil from the next caravan. (If you can afford them ;D)
-Extra dwarf points if it's an evil biome. (Make a carpenter's workship and an axe out of the wagon wood and try quickly harvesting plants and trees for a shelter before the local critters kill you. No digging.)
-Kobolds

The weredwarf Urist McUrist has come! A bearded drunkard twisted into minute form. It is crazed for booze and socks. Its unwashed beard is tangled. It needs alcohol to get through the working day and has gone without a drink for far too long. Now you will know why you fear the mines.

Et tu, Urist
