Looking for hotseat and/or local co-op games
« on: August 21, 2012, 03:58:31 am »

An old friend over today, he'll will be staying for a few days and I was wondering if you guys and girls knew any good pc games that can be played hotseat or in local coop(we have multiple gamepads). Anything fun or challenging will do, free or not.

Already have a few things like
Solium Infernum
HoMM: 3&5
Really Big Sky
Jamestown
Probably some others I'm forgetting.

ps. We do also have PSP's and all the monster hunter games. I guess anything fun for those will do too.

If you have PSPs try God Eater Burst. It's very similar to monster hunter, only cooler!

V-Wing
Somewhat fun old game inspired by asteroids and lander with some unique weapons ranging from waterguns and freon cannons to soldiers, helicopters, homing missiles, spreading viral mines and much more

Downsides:
Extreamely poor graphics (compearable to DF at times but not quite ascii).
Kinda hard to find.
The planes are hard to control (imagine asteroids with gravity).

Dogfight: Battle in the skies.
A freeware game developed by some german guy.
And for one man he did a great job, sadly it seems he stopped updating it 5 years ago.
However the game is more than playable the way it is.
It offers 6 generations of aircraft from that go more or less like this:
1 - WW1 Biplanes
2 - WW2 Planes (including some crazy german and japanese engineering)
3 - The early cold war/korean war (Sabres Mig-21 and more).
4 - Late cold war. (Mig-29 F-16)
5 - Current (F-22 Eurofighter)
6 - Everything goes star wars.
You can also select the victory conditions like "raze enemy base" or just place a simple life limit.

Downsides:
The game starts in german but you can switch to english in the options.
It can be unstable as it was never really finished.
