Bio-Weapons

Since syndrome arrows can work, could you build bio-weapons bye making a ballista arrow that boils at outside air temp(which i believe is slightly higher than indoors) and giving it a syndrome? Alternatively you could use nether-cap as containment to keep the temperatures down.

Outside air temp fluctuates. If it's snowing outside, it's going to be colder than even nether-cap.

Actually in most cases indoor air will be the warmer of the two (exceptions go to scorching and hot biomes). You could potentially have it set to boil in-between the air temperature and the temperature that magma heats surrounding tiles to. Then you just need to shoot over the top of a magma trench to cause your arrows to burst into flames or whatever.

However, flying objects ignore temperature. I've tried shooting balista arrows through magma forcefields.

Good to know. I had suspected that they did, but nobody that I knew had ever confirmed it before.
