Who says they can even be brought together?

Some games just have sad endings no matter what.

In fact that is probably supposed to be the point. They are supposed to break up because of the facade.

There's times when the dialogue can be startlingly realistic and the scripting goes off without a hitch. However, Trip and Grace have a tendency to laugh awkwardly and ignore relevant and completely correct sentences. I also seem to remember Trip and Grace standing silently and not doing anything for minutes at a time in some cases.

Yeah, most of the time it is something like a chatbot, but it can get really lucid once in a while.  Shows what you can do if you try to make something cool with a really narrow focus like this.
