Roll to Figure Out How to Roll to Dodge

How do you play RTD games, and how are they different from other FGaR threads?

We have a thread for this, you know.

Anyway, RTDs use a d6 and the following table:

[6] Overshot. You succeed so well there's probably collateral.
[5] Epic Success. You succeed perfectly, or just about.
[4] Success. You succeed, whatever that means.
[3] Partial Success. You succeed partially, or weakly, or with side effects, etc.
[2] Failure. You fail.
[1] Epic Failure. You not only fail, you probably make things worse.

Or some variation thereof. Some GMs use a d8, or adjust the meaning of a 6, and so on, and a lot add in HP, skills, gear, or other systems and quirks of their own devising. It's a very flexible, extremely lightweight base for building games off of.

Play-wise, they work like most games in here- players give actions, GMs interpret, in this case roll for them, and then describe the results.
